I met Anne first thing in the morning for her bride preparation, it was such a lovely morning filled with excited chatter. Anne had such a beautiful dress. It always surprises me how calm the mornings are, very few nerves and time seems to stand still for a moment. It is a strange thing, when you get to the First Dance you feel you have blinked from photographing the dress to the dance floor! So much happens in such a short space of time after those calm, precious moments watching the bride dress and prepare for the day.

YouTube Tie Tips

This wedding I think I will remember for the tie ‘tieing’ dramas. I don’t quite know what everyone would have done on the day without YouTube videos on how to tie a wedding tie! Every type of tie variation must have been experimented with with a lot of watching and re-watching the ‘how-to’ videos!

Champagne was poured, photographs were taken and Anne looked stunning in her dress. I left a little before Anne to make sure I captured her arriving at Hothorpe Hall. Piotr, my associate photographer was already there, photographing David as he waited in anticipation in the Terrace room. Of course it was a lovely ceremony and the Thai canapés looked particularly delicious!

Bouquet Throwing, Jenga And And Amazing First Dance!

David and Anne were so very happy all day and it was a brilliantly relaxed wedding. The garden Jenga was a particular hit with all ages taking part. It was a particularly nice wedding for me as I was working alongside two Leicester Wedding Network colleagues, The Trixta who was doing his magic in the sunshine and Tin Box Memories. It is always so smooth and coordinated when you work regularly with the same people, it seem to flow, plus I had great company!

The Bouquet throwing has to be the best this year yet, with a stunning high velocity throw by Anne! No way in a million years were the ladies waiting behind going to catch it and David and Anne stunned everyone at the end of the day with a well choreographed first dance.

It was such a lovely warm and sunny afternoon and everything of course went to plan. I left with the dance floor heaving, despite the balmy sunny evening!
