Family Bluebell Portraits

I have photographed bluebell wood family portraits in the grounds of a private manor for many years. The grounds are private and secluded. I start taking bookings for the Bluebell Wood portraits in November, the shoot runs at the end of April and the beginning of May.

Photographing in the bluebells is not easy, I take care to protect the wood while ensuring the bluebells are a large part of the final image.

It may look like the sun is shining, but quite often it's not. It was quite a cloudy day for these portraits but with a bit of lighting magic it looks like a warm day.

My portraits tell an emotive story. Working closely with the families I work with, to get to know them during the shoot means it is not simply about capturing a smile. It's about documenting relationships and family bonds.

The bluebell wood and photographing on location is a wonderful way for families to spend valuable time together, photographing these moments give me ample opportunity to capture personalities and relationships.
