Hothorpe Hall Weddings | Laura and Ryan

Natural and Relaxed Weddings at Hothorpe Hall

Back to one of my favourite wedding venues, Hothorpe Hall with Laura and Ryan. Laura works at Hothorpe, you would have thought working at a venue you would choose somewhere else for your wedding but she knows how well Hothorpe manages a wedding, and also how beautiful it is for a summer wedding.. so why go anywhere else!

Laura arrived in style for her wedding and finished preparing in the Round Room with her family. The wedding was particularly memorable with quite a few tears. It has to be the most emotional wedding of the year. I think Laura felt quite overwhelmed by the day so after her confetti portraits I left Laura and Ryan alone for some space whilst photographing discretely.  It is often quite hard to find any time alone on your wedding day with your new husband. With so many guests to talk to, and so many plans for the day, it is easy to  stop and take time to absorb it all. The time allocated for couple portraits can be the perfect time for a bit of peace. You don’t need to be constantly posed and positioned for natural portraits. Some of the best are those taken from a distance.

After the ceremony we wondered around the grounds for a handful of portraits before settling down for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

It was a wonderful day, and the staff at Hothorpe were wonderful as always.
