I arrived at Tia’s mums house to photograph Tia getting ready. It was all very secretive, no-one except mum had seen Tia’s dress and a surprise ‘reveal’ was planned with Bridesmaids looking on as she left the house for the church. I went upstairs to photograph it in it’s hiding place and it was quite simply gorgeous. There was a very ‘red’ theme with the dress embroidered with red flowers. The Bridesmaids were all in red and all had these killer red heels. No way was I ever going to be able to wear them! It was a very relaxed morning and I noticed a small framed picture of Tia’s mum on her wedding day and saw that she had the same red and white colour mix. I wondered if it had been intentional.

Tia and Adam were wed at Wigston Magna United Reform church and the Vicar was very photographer friendly so I was able to capture a lot of photographs of Tia and Adam exchanging rings and saying their vows. The ceremony was perfected by the most amazing singer who sang throughout the signing of the register.

It was back to Hothorpe Hall for their champagne reception where we had some really fun shots planned with the wedding party. There were hardly any formal shots, just a lot of fun! We had Tia hiding behind a wall while the bridesmaids sneaked a peek, we had Tia’s Bridesmaids hiding under her veil and we had some great shots of the groomsmen with Tia and Adam, everyone was up for a bit of fun.

The speeches were particularly emotional and we had a lot of tears! It really was a lovely wedding, Tia’s first dance with Adam was particularly emotive with a very beautiful Dad dance to follow. They danced as if they were on their own with no-one watching on.. a very special moment for Tia and Adam.

Once again a lovely day. Hat’s off to the staff at Hothorpe Hall who always do it so very well x
