A very hot summer wedding at Barton Hall.

It really was a sizzling day at Barton Hall when I photographed the wedding of Catherine and Peter. The orangery was decked out with beautiful chair sashes in pink and the sun shined all day! I met Catherine in her room just as she had finished her hair and make up, she was very nervous! The room was full of laughter and children as they all got ready for the ceremony. I went to photograph the beautiful rose covered cake and look at the dining room, it also looked stunning. I particularly like the large illuminated LOVE sign was set up at the back of the room it looked great! I think Catherine had suggested to Peter it was a bit bling (or it may have been the other way round) but I thought it was fab and I was determined to get a picture of Catherine and Peter against it before I left later that afternoon.

The ceremony was lovely and very emotional, a few tears were shed, we all migrated to the side of the Orangery for group photographs, I did my best to keep them short as it really was swelteringly hot. Strings played under the tree as the guests celebrated with champagne, children played croquet (or just bashing the ball about!) on the lawn. It was a very relaxed wedding.

It was then time for a quick mock cake cut before I left. Not a full day for me at this one, so I then headed back home to give the children their tea! Not quite as nice as the three course meal the guests were enjoying back at Barton Hall but I thought my chicken and mash looked quite fine!

A lovely day and a pleasure to spend it with such lovely people.

Here is a little sneak preview at some of the photographs taken on the day.
