Bride preparation at The Admiral Nelson in Braunston:

I arrived for bride preparation at Sarah’s parents pub, The Admiral Nelson in Braunston. A beautiful location set on the canal and by the look of the photographs inside they had completely redecorated the pub and every year it hosts a music festival. It really was a fabulous location for bride preparation and very convenient for the endless supply of soft drinks for me and fizz for Sarah. I loved the natural light in the pub and all the mirrors to make unusual angles for the photography. Sarah’s dress hung over the bar and optics…it looked just great.

Sarah wore a very princess dress with a beautiful diamante bodice, a traditional horse and cart arrived to take her to the church where I was welcomed by a very helpful and friendly Vicar. I wouldn’t be any fun without a confetti tunnel which everyone took part in. We had portraits inside the church and I added a little drama with some off camera flash in a small wooden doorway outside the church.

A Football Themed Reception at Home Farm:

We were a little late arriving at Home Farm Events in Braunston because Sarah stopped at the pub with mum for a drink! we had more photographs on the canal then went on for a Leicester City themed wedding breakfast. Football was very much an on-going theme of this wedding with a lot of footballs flying around on the grass outside! Speeches were fun and entertaining and I learnt that Daniel is Sarah’s sisters husband brother! work that one out 🙂

Towards the end of the evening the children were playing on haystacks while the guests enjoyed the bar and and late evening sun, the cake was cut and Sarah and Daniel danced their first dance. Home Farm really was a lovely setting for their wedding and the hog roast was nearly ready for eating when I left to go home.

Thank you Sarah and Daniel for asking me to photograph your wedding, it was a really special day 🙂
